Six months later, she is back with an axe to grind. As an arson investigator, Maya is trained to discover who is setting fires and she has her sights set on Logan. All the clues seem to be leading to him, even as she is determined to ignore the attraction that is flaring up between them again. But Logan is not going to let Maya ruin his career. He is innocent and will fight to prove it, even though a part of him is hurt that she would believe him capable of such destruction after their encounter.
As fires rage on, Maya and Logan are going to have to put their heads together to discover the arsonist because the person is getting trickier and more dangerous with each fire that is set. Will their hearts survive unscathed?
The temperature is blazing in WILD HEAT. Maya and Logan have plenty of chemistry and it keeps their encounters volatile and sensual. Both characters are stubborn and strong-willed, sticking to their beliefs in the truth. It will take compromise on both of their parts to truly unmask the arsonist. Maya takes her job seriously but part of her motivation is still in uncovering who murdered her brother. While she strives to keep her work free from her emotions this is easier said than done.
Logan has a past of his own when it comes to fire, but he is a reformed man. He takes control of fires and keeps people safe. It is what he loves to do and he does not want Maya to jeopardize his career. His commitment to his fellow firefighters is strong and emotional throughout the course of this book.
WILD HEAT flares up with tension and cools down with love. Bella Andre has me excited for the next book in this series.
