Katie Ray, an art gallery manager, lost all the members of her family in an accident eighteen months ago.  The one thing she really hates is being alone.  Now, this beautiful redhead is engaged to be married, but every time she thinks about it, she starts throwing up.  On one of those occasions, she accidentally flushed her eight thousand dollar engagement ring down the toilet – at least she hopes it was an accident and not an omen.

Carl Hades, a private investigator, has not dated in a year.  He fell for a girl and proposed to her.  When she walked out on him a year ago, he decided against commitment.  The only thing his ex left behind was her poodle Precious – not exactly a manly dog.  He is haunted by his mother’s death, which occurred when he was sixteen years old.  His father, a retired police officer, does jobs for him occasionally and is anxious for Carl to start having a social life again.

When Carl receives a call from Tabitha Jones of Tabitha’s Weddings, asking for his help to discover why her brides are being killed, the last thing he expects is to be locked in a room with metal doors, no windows, no heat, no escape and a dead body in the other room.  He is not alone.  There is a sexy redhead in the room with him.  It seems that Katie is not only a witness to the murder, but she is also the next bride in line – a bride who is beginning to question whether she is really in love with her groom.  Can Carl get them out of this situation – especially since he hears and smells gasoline being poured right outside the door?  Can he keep her safe and at the same time keep his distance?

WEDDINGS CAN BE MURDER is an intrigue-filled, mystery/romance.  Readers will be on the edge of their seats as Katie and Carl fight to stay one-step ahead of a maniac who keeps killing off brides.  Mysterious, humorous, and steamy, this romance has it all and is sure to be a favorite for readers of many genres.  I look forward to reading more of Ms. Christie Craig’s works.  I recommend WEDDINGS CAN BE MURDER for readers of romance and mystery alike.
