TWISTED starts off with a bang and never stops. I’m new to this author, and I’m happier than I can say that this isn’t the first of her Tracers novels. It’s a completely stand alone book, but I’ll definitely be going back for her previous titles.
The story reads like a crime procedural. It’s authentic and gutsy with a brutal villain. Griffin’s characters truly stick out as top notch. The heroine is strong, real, and flawed, just like the hero. Details of the investigation pull the threads of the story together, and Griffin manages to balance the suspense with the romance perfectly. I haven’t read a romantic suspense this good in years.
I was hooked from page one. A brutal scene, then a flash to the present, and it all ties together. Nothing’s neat, everything’s on-the-edge-of-your-seat suspenseful, and I couldn’t stop reading until I finished the book.
If you like suspense, romance, and a thrilling read where you’re never sure just what’s around the next page, pick up TWISTED. You won’t be sorry. I’ve just found a new author to add to my auto-buy list!
