Sebastian Costas was an investment banker before his ex-wife and son were murdered.  He gave it all up to go after the man responsible for their deaths.  Sebastian will stop at nothing to destroy the man, a cop, who devastated his world.  After a year of hunting this man, he is almost out of money and resources.  Until he gets a phone call from Jane Burke and learns there has been a kidnapping linked to the man who is a murderer.  However, when Sebastian meets Jane, his whole world is about to go topsy-turvy from the electrifying passion that flares in him.  Will Sebastian discover a rare love that can put his heart at peace?  Or will his last breath be at the hands of his son’s murderer?

Jane Burke is an investigator with the Last Stand.  She was married to a notorious serial killer and decided that working with other victims will help her deal with the deceit of her husband.   While at work one day, a woman whose sisters have been kidnapped comes in and asks Jane for her help.  Determined to prove to her bosses that she can do this job, she takes the case and finds herself entangled in the world of an ex-cop who has lost touch with reality.  When Jane calls on Sebastian, she soon realizes that the cases are connected.  She is stunned by the powerful emotions that Sebastian sparks within her.  Will Jane be able to put her past to rest and allow love to blossom in her world again?

As usual, Brenda Novak does not disappoint with her new romantic thriller that will curl your toes and raise the hair on the back of your neck.  THE PERFECT MURDER is the perfect romantic suspense for readers who love a thick plot, enigmatic characters and a romance that will not be denied.  The charming characters are entwined into a gripping plot that will have you turning the pages with fervor to see how it all plays out.  I laughed at some of the antics, tensed when things started going bad and my heart soared when love saved the day. 

Jane is a charming woman with a strong backbone, especially after everything she has endured in her life.  I rooted for Jane to find the man that she so richly deserved. 

Sebastian is every woman’s dream.  He is stubborn, sexy and will stop at nothing to find the man who wronged his family.  I could not help but to feel all of his emotions.  They are very powerful.

I highly recommend THE PERFECT MURDER to all romantic suspense readers.  Brenda Novak does not disappoint in delivering a plot with twists and turns and a romance that ultimately makes the world a better place.
