Her newest move has her in a quaint seaside town living under an assumed name. Her only friends are Ben, the man who has helped her relocate time and time again, and faithful pug, Bennie.
JT needs a temporary assistant at his security company. He meets Faith when her dog escapes the house and then later bumps into her again at his sister’s. His training instantly alerts him to her situation. She is running from something, but what, he doesn’t know.
Faith happens to be looking for a job and anyone would be better than the inefficient, unprofessional temp who made his working hours miserable and then quit leaving him without an assistant. JT hires Faith hoping to discover what she’s hiding and why she’s so afraid.
While Faith knows her degree was in accounting, she can’t understand how she forgot the basic things she learned in college. Her inability to remember the night of her attack and her best friend’s murder led the police to believe that she, in some way, was involved. When the calls from her attacker, followed by cryptic notes and gifts begin to arrive, Faith knows she must run once more. She hoped JT could help her but like everyone else she's cared for, she is just endangering him by not leaving. She already loves him, but refuses to lose another person to this cruel, sadistic killer that seems to be a permanent part of her life.
