Rayma doesn't trust men. Too many men have let her down. To protect herself, she keeps a three month rule in place; once she's been with a guy for three months, it's over. Her ex, Keegan, is a good reminder as to why her rule is necessary. She's moved away from all of that now. Rayma's now living a calm existence on South Padre island. Everything is peaceful, relaxing, and utterly boring. It's exactly what she needs and it's driving her crazy. She wants to do more than report the news; Rayma wants to get back into investigative reporting.
When she witnesses a fight between two chefs at fancy restaurant Vin Doux, she gets a taste of the excitement she's been craving. Combine that with an anonymous email naming Vin Doux as the front for a major drug ring, and Rayma may have more excitement than she thought possible. Undercover DEA agent Camden Alexander knew it was stupid to get in such a public fight, in front of a reporter no less, but he had to do something. He's been investigating Darrell “Web” Weberley for two years now. Camden needs to get into Web's inner circle. But first he has to smooth things over with that reporter in order to make Web happy and keep up his charade as chef. He's surprised to find a genuine attraction to Rayma. When she starts digging into something she shouldn't, Camden has to come to her rescue and reveal all. Now Rayma feels trapped living in the safe house with Camden and his fellow agents. Everyday she feels herself falling for Camden a little more. Will she deal with her trust issues and give herself a real chance at love? Camden's running out of time. He needs to bring Web to justice, especially if he's going to keep Rayma alive. She's slowly coming to mean a lot to him and he doesn't want to risk losing her. ONE WRONG MOVE is the right move for all fans of romantic suspense. Emma Sanders has penned a sequel even more exciting than the first. Rayma is first introduced in Holding Fast, where she proves to be endearing and valuable. I'm so happy to see her get her own story. If there was ever a woman deserving of a happy ever after, it's Rayma. Camden is the perfect compliment to Rayma. He's strong enough that she can't walk all over him, but adaptable enough to allow Rayma the control she needs. The suspense keeps this story flowing. You're constantly wondering if Camden will be found out, or if Web will discover where Rayma is hiding. The secondary characters are an integral part of the story and it will be interesting to see if any of them appear in Emma Sanders' future work. ONE WRONG MOVE was overall an enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to see what else Emma Sanders can come up with to tantalize her fans. © Copyright 2003 by RomanceJunkies.com |
