When Paige Conroy discovers her murdered friend in a hotel, everything changes. She’s devastated. The police immediately consider her a suspect.


The mistrust of Detective Justin Harrison is the hardest to swallow. He’s a known ladies man. He’s sexy and enigmatic. Paige immediately feels drawn to him and she hates those feelings. She swore off cops long ago. No matter what, Justin is off limits.

 

Then, the killer comes after Paige. Justin steps in as her protector. He’s immediately attracted to Paige, but his job means too much to him to get involved with her, doesn’t it? Besides, he doesn’t believe in love.

 

Justin and Paige will have to risk much to come together. Will they take that risk? Will they decide that love is worth the chance?

 

NOT WITHOUT RISK by Sarah Grimm is a romantic mystery riding along an emotional roller coaster. It is an entertaining read with well developed characters. Grimm paces the story with specific clues along the trail of the plot with a climax that is anticipated, but not fully realized until the end.
