Peter Aaron Kelly, known to his friends as Pak, grew up on a farm in
Lily Madison entered the building next to the sperm bank for her last session, hoping this one would go by fast. Once she donated her eggs this time and pick up her check for six thousand dollars, her last semester would be paid off. For some reason, the clinic gave her a strange feeling. She was glad this was the last time she had to go there. There were two things that Lily regretted doing in her life, going into the teaching field for which she was not suited and donating her eggs to the clinic. Lily loved her homemade hats. Making them and wearing them gave her confidence and courage.
Exiting the clinic on the last day, Pak and Lily bumped into each other and ended up having lunch together and discussing their negative feelings about the clinic.
Nineteen years later, Peter is the billionaire founder of Pak Industries and Lily has left teaching to design children's clothing for her company, Sandcastle Ltd and she is also very wealthy. However, each child model she sees makes her wonder if that child could be hers. Peter and Lily have not seen each other since that luncheon, but they continue to think of each other. Finally, they run into each other at the airport and fall for each other all over again. At the airport, a television screen shows twelve teenagers in a group home who have been shot and killed. Two managed to get away and one of them is the spitting image of Pak. As they decide to start at the beginning and do their own investigation, they wonder if the boy could be Pak’s son and if Lily has any children out there. The police are after the two boys that got away and they believe that the one assumed to be Peter’s son is the shooter. Can they reach him before the police do? What was he doing in a group home? What type of experiment is the clinic conducting? If the boy is the killer, who is trying to kill him?
MR. AND MISS ANONYMOUS is a thrilling, fast-paced tale, which will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat as you root for the hero and the heroine to find the two boys before anyone else. Ms. Fern Michaels does a wonderful job of bringing out the emotions so that the reader can empathize with the characters, the desperation of those trying to find the boys and the fear of the boys who do not know who to trust or which way to turn. Adding a special touch to the story are the ghosts who help the boys and lends a creative paranormal appeal to the story. With a little bit of everything, this story is sure to be a favorite of readers of many genres.
