However, as Christopher
continues to dig the attacks on David get more serious. As an openly gay cop
detective David Eric Laine has to constantly prove himself. It helps that he is
excellent at his job. When child pornography is found on his computer an
investigation is immediately launched and David is suspended. He knows he is innocent
but those in charge would love a reason to get rid of him. Chris and David must
work together t clear David’s name and stop the killer before he strikes again.
I couldn’t put this book
down. L.A. BYTES is the thrilling third novel in P.A Brown’s L.A. series. With each successive mystery
this author just keeps getting better and better. This novel is reminiscent of
L.A. HEAT, the first novel in the series, in that Chris plays a central role in
the mystery. I enjoyed seeing more of Chris and to see him working so hard to
find the hacker. He is focused and very good at his job. It is a side of him
that the reader hasn’t seen much of in the past. I gained insight into his
character as I read. I feel as if I got to know him a lot better. Chris and
David’s relationship has deepened and strengthened since the last novel and it
is wonderful to see them so much in love.
Chris search for the
hacker and David’s current case are equally intriguing. With each clue I found
myself drawn further into the story. I
don’t ant to give too much away but I will say that the plot is expertly and
intricately woven. There are some unexpected twists and there were a couple of
times where I thought I had the mystery solved only to be proven wrong. L.A.
BYTES is a gripping and captivating mystery that kept me on the edge of my
seat.
