Julia is a mother and a successful prosecuting attorney.   She is in the process of putting a cold-blooded scoundrel on trial for the heinous crimes he has committed.   Only she was not prepared for the retaliation this man has in store for her and her family.   Her father hires two bodyguards to protect her and her daughter.   Upon meeting her sexy bodyguard, Flynn, she was shocked by the intense passion that burns within her when he is around.   Will Julia find love and protection in the arms of a man she considers callous?   Or will Julia close her heart when she learns of Flynn’s betrayal?

Flynn is a sexy bodyguard who has suffered a great loss.   Usually he does not accept jobs that require protecting women and children, but he realizes this is the perfect cover to exact his revenge on his nemesis.   Flynn takes his job very seriously, but he is finding it hard to keep his heart closed to the beautiful prosecuting attorney.   Will Flynn take a chance on losing Julia because he has the need for revenge?   Or will he forgo his loss and pain to keep the woman he has fallen head over heals for?

Within the pages of IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE is an on the edge romantic suspense that will capture your attention immediately.   Catherine Stang pens an intriguing tale with charismatic characters entwined into a gripping plot.   I laughed at the wonderful bantering, felt the emotional distress of the characters and sobbed at the fairy-tale ending.  

Julia is a strong-willed character with a lot of spunk.   She is smart and not willing to give into the creepy people that she puts away on a daily basis.   Her instant attraction to Flynn is tense and passionate.   However, she believes he is raw, stubborn and unemotional and yet her heart and soul wants to get to know the real man behind the cold façade.  

Flynn is a hunky bodyguard who is obstinate and passionate about what he does.   I felt all his emotion he keeps bottled up about the past.   Although I rooted for him to get revenge, I cheered him on more to open up his heart to Julia.   Although Flynn thinks Julia is uncompromising, he also thinks she is the sexiest woman he has encountered in a long time.  

The secondary characters within this charming tale are vibrant and add a lot of pizzazz to the storyline.   I had to keep reading to find out how they fit and what their outcome would be.

If you are looking for a good romantic tale full of suspense and poignant situations, than IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE is definitely a book you want to pick up.
