Not only is single mom Helen Quinn barely making ends meet and trying to keep her violent ex’s family from taking her son, she suddenly finds herself face to face with mob enforcer Lorenzo Rossi determined to collect a debt to his family. It’s a lot of money, but Helen didn’t borrow it. Now she finds herself put on the spot by the identical twin she hasn’t seen since her teens. Even worse, in trying to track her down, Helen and Lorenzo discover the twin, Audrey, has gotten herself involved with a crazy religious cult as she tried to find out what really happened to her parents. Lorenzo may want out of the family business, but there’s no way he’s going to leave Helen alone to deal with the mess her sister has made out of their lives. The chase takes them from small towns, through miserable tenements to the blazing sands of an Egyptian temple, one step ahead of a cult of crazed priests intent on carrying out an ancient rite.
Main plots, sub-plots, and witty dialogue make this story sparkle. HIDE AND SEEK is a top-notch romantic tale of intrigue and the paranormal, taking readers on a roller coaster ride through exotic locales. Lorenzo is tempting, enticing and just the kind of guy you want to protect you. Helen is a gutsy, smart and dedicated Mom who knows that when the chips are down, Lorenzo’s her man.
