At a young age, Jake meets his adoptive brothers, Nick and Chris. They all join the SEAL program to tame the wildness in them and keep them out of jail. Jake also has a haunted past that he refuses to mention to anyone. When a mission sends him to Africa, dropping him, right in the middle of rebel territory, he finds a battered and bruised woman left for death.

Isabelle, battered and bruised from her trip to Africa, spent months recuperating in a hospital before she found work on the military base her rescuer, Jake, was stationed at. It wasn’t her first choice for work since she wanted to go back to the “Doctors without Borders” program to revisit Africa. She enjoyed seeing Jake again and relishing his hard, sexy body.

Jake wants nothing to do with Isabelle. He would have stayed far away if he could but the Admiral hadn’t given him an order to secretly protect her from the madman that left her for dead the first time-around. Isabelle learns to trust again, through him. But when all the secrets come out will she understand?

HARD TO HOLD is a suspenseful and empowering story with sizzling escapades. Stephanie Tyler is a master in spinning tales with uber sexy SEALs and equally strong woman. Her characters are spunky and full of personality. I just love them. Jake is the epitome of a perfect hero. He is smart, strong, capable, yet caring and understanding in his own way. Isabelle is witty, tough and independent. Even though she is emotionally scarred, she learns to trust again, through Jake.
