Camden Hastings has a unique gift that haunts more than helps her. She has visions of victims before they disappear - essentially seeing their death before it happens. Camden learned to cope with it and eventually the visions went away.  However, now they are back and happening at the worst possible time in her life.

Her marriage is failing, so she chalks the sudden visions up to stress, believing the people she ‘sees’ cannot be real people. However, when her teenage daughter Tess disappears, Camden suddenly realizes her visions are real and the girl in her visions was her daughter. Camden knows she must do everything she can to prevent the inevitable from coming true. 

She and her husband Mike have had their share of differences, but they join forces for the sake of their daughter. Revealing her secret to her husband, the only person who believes her, the two must save their daughter from a potential serial killer on the loose. It’s a race against time and, for Camden, this race is the most important of all.

DYING BREATH is one of those rare tales that touch your soul. The suspense is thrilling, keeping you on your toes as you anticipate what will happen next. I love the characters and the growth that each experience.  Wendy Corsi Staub has the ability to make her characters seem lifelike and real. The plot is a continuing mystery. Although you think you have it figured out half way through, Ms. Staub, I’ve found, loves to surprise. This is an excellent story that is not to be missed. Ms. Staub has outdone herself with DYING BREATH and I can honestly say I’m now a fan of her work.
