Ex-FBI agent Sloane Burbank has decided to go into business for herself.  Since her horrible accident, she is afraid to rejoin the FBI.  When her father gets entangled in an art crime, she knows that her father is innocent and will do whatever it takes to prove it.  However, when she gets involved with her father’s crimes, she knows that her newfound relationship with ex-boyfriend, Derek, will be in jeopardy of failing yet again.  Will Sloane’s love of her father and his innocence cause her to lose the only man she has ever loved?  Or will love overcome all the obstacles and bring sunshine back to her life?

FBI agent Derek Parker is part of the Art Crime division.  He has just been handed a case that involves mobsters and murder.  The only problem is, his girlfriend’s father is at the heart of the investigation.  He knows that one misstep could mean losing Sloane, the only woman who has ever rocked his world.  But he needs the information that Sloane has discovered.  He also knows that the murderers will go after Sloane and he will do whatever it takes to protect her.  Will Derek lose all patience with Sloane and risk losing his heart to close a case?  Or will he throw it all away and try to keep the love of his life safe?

Andrea Kane pens a romantic suspense tale that is rife with murder, mayhem and turmoil.  DRAWN IN BLOOD is definitely a tale of intrigue that has many twists and turns and will keep you glued to your seat and turning the pages quickly.  The characters are charismatic and have to overcome a lot of obstacles in order to receive their happily-ever-after.

Sloane is a stubborn woman who is bold and believes in her family with all of her heart.  She also will do anything it takes to protect them.  She knows Derek is bull-headed, but she can not help but to love him wholeheartedly.

Derek is sexy and compassionate.  But he is also mulish when it comes to his cases and Sloane.  He will do anything to get past the obstacles that face them and try to hold on to the girl he loves with every fiber of his being.

If you are looking for an intense romantic suspense, then I highly recommend DRAWN IN BLOOD.  I look forward to reading more of Andrea Kane’s tales.
