Sidney Morrow owns and runs the Pacific Pet Hotel kennel and tries to hide the fact she is a psychic.  She cannot foretell anyone’s future, but sometimes, when she touches a person or an animal, she sees flashes or images of their recent past and senses their thoughts.  The one thing that Sidney really longs for is a happy home and a loving family.  Her father seems to be on her side, but he does whatever her mother wants him to do.  However, her mother expects her to watch over her self-centered older sister and seems to have no interest in Sidney’s life. 

Marc, a police lieutenant, does not believe in psychics.  Too many charlatans have taken in his mother in her attempts to contact her dead husband – a man without whom she is better off.  Her husband treated her badly, which is the reason why Marc overreacts whenever he sees a man mistreating a woman.

When Sidney sees the dog at her kennel, she knows he is the one she saw on the news earlier that morning.  Accidentally touching him, she sees flashes of the killer and senses the dog’s search for his injured mistress.  Turning the dog into the police, she finds herself a suspect in a murder investigation.  She knows too much and they are not buying the psychic angle.  As Marc sticks close to her, the attraction between them grows stronger.  When an overeager newspaper reporter drops her name in the morning’s paper, she suddenly finds a tortured dead cat in her bed.  Can they capture the killer before she is the next victim listed in the newspaper?  Can Marc keep his police surveillance professional?

DANGEROUS TO TOUCH is an edge-of-your-seat adventurous romance.  Filled with very steamy romance, a thrilling, suspense-filled plot and well-drawn characters, this is a book you will think about long after it is closed.  With Ms. Jill Sorenson’s characters, she reminds us that, in some ways, all of us feel like we are ostracized in one way or another.  In Sidney’s case, it was the fact that she was a psychic.  This is the first book I have read by this author, but it has made me a fan of her work.  For those who love steamy, adventurous romance, do not miss DANGEROUS TO TOUCH!
