Rachel buries herself in her work to distract from Gabriel’s absences.  Having met him randomly at a company event over a year ago, their instant connection drew them together, and she’s reconciled herself to living with his abnormal behavior:  arriving and departing unexpectedly, never sharing any personal information.  She craves him so much that she’s willing to take any little bit of himself that he will share. 



Gabriel’s life is a secret, one that if revealed could have deadly consequences.  His silence is for one purpose:  Rachel’s protection.  The more he shares, the more her life is in danger.  His rogue lifestyle prevents him from ever becoming truly intimate with her, but on his covert missions he cannot seem to think of anything but Rachel.  When he accidentally draws her into his dangerous world by visiting her one evening, he must face the consequences and decide what he truly wants:  Rachel or maintaining his current dangerous and exciting life. 

 

Desiree Holt’s book starts with a bang and doesn’t let up until the very final sentence.  The heat between Rachel and Gabriel is so hot it scorches itself in your mind, making it impossible to put it down. (For this reader, even getting a coffee refill was nixed for how long it would keep me away from the page).  The conflict is not only gripping, but timely, truly bringing the story alive.  Don’t miss DANCING WITH DANGER – you will lose yourself in the realistic danger and before you know it will be looking around to gather your bearings.
