David J. Windsor is the democratic nominee in the 2012 presidential race. The republicans have been in power since 2000 and the country desperately needs a change. It is predicted that David and the democrats will win the election hands down but the republican nominee refuses to go down without a fight and David knows he has to be prepared for anything.

Just six weeks before the general election during their final debate his opponent Speaker of the House Daniel Gorski accuses David of being gay. Instead of denying his sexuality he proudly admits to being a gay American and immediately sets about the task of proving to the American people the he is still the right man to lead the United States.

Much to the shock of the Republican Party the revelation about David’s sexuality only increases his popularity. He goes on to win the election but during his inauguration there is an attempt on his life. If it weren’t for the quick actions of his secret service body guard he would have been assassinated. Agent Shane Thompson is always by his President’s side. As time goes by they grow closer and come to care deeply for one another. However, can their personal relationship survive the strain of public life?
