Zaruis El Kyr is on a mission. He’s traveled from his home planet of Reja to Earth in search of his predestined mate - she’ll bear a mark on her inner thigh that matches the one on his. It should be easy enough to find her, convince her that they’re fated to be together and get her to agree to return to Reja with him. Unfortunately, he’s used to submissive, docile women and Star is anything but!
Star Elliot is completely oblivious to her link to any alien planet or being a mate to the most gorgeous man she’s ever seen. Despite her friend’s shoves into the dating pool Star has saved herself for that one special man. Having been raised by a single mom, she understands the dangers of love ‘em and leave ‘em men - she’s never even met her own father. She’s definitely not prepared for the reality of Zarius’s otherworldliness and connection to her - though she does have to admit he makes her whole body tingle.
Upon his arrival on Earth Zarius sets out to learn everything he can about his female. His senses are so fine tuned to her that he can pick her out in a crowd and he uses that to his advantage. He’s stunned by Earth customs and how males and females mate without the benefit of a binding rituals and the women are just as aggressive as the men. Zarius is convinced that won’t be the case with Star though, after all she’s only half Earthling and surely her Rejan half would be far superior.
Star can’t deny she’s attracted to Zarius and there’s something about him that makes her feel safe and even loved but it isn’t until she takes him to meet her mother that the truth about his identity comes out. Star may be half Rejan but she’s no push over and isn’t about to let him dictate to her about her future. What Zarius thought would be a simple - pick up his mate and return home has become very complicated.
L.A. Day delves perfectly into a woman’s fantasy of finding that special someone who desires ONLY you. Zarius is a tough honorable man who isn’t used to females questioning him. Having his destined mate refuse to simply go along with what he decides is a bit of an ego buster. Star is as innocent as she is spunky. She refuses to throw away her earth-bound life based simply on his vow that it’s destiny. They’re so perfect together and yet the meshing of the two planets’ customs and expectations cause many problems that are laugh out loud funny and endearing.
Watch for the next book in the Alien Possession series, DARVIN to be released. I just checked Ms. Day’s website and it’s still listed in the works in progress section - but I’ll be keeping an eye out for it. We got to meet Darvin in the beginning of ZARIUS and he wasn’t pleased about his mate being located so I’m anxious to find out what happens once he actually meets her.
