Brock is handsome, honest, generous and noble.  He leaves the wolf pack to allow Allie time to grow up and accept being his mate.  However, after returning upon her eighteenth birthday to claim her, Allie rejects him and goes on the run. 

 

Always hiding and living with fear that she will be found Allie tries to live as normal a life as possible.  She is gets a job as technician at a gas station hoping the gas fumes can mask her scent and keep her hidden from Brock and the wolf pack enemies, Wolfsbane.  Wolfsbane was a secret society of humans who hunted and killed the wolf pack.  She has a few friends, namely her boss Alfonso and a guy named Max.  Max was a very good friend who wanted to be more but Allie could not force herself to accept him, and besides, should Brock find her and smell the other man on her, his blood could be on her hands. 

Brock Wolfrik has spent some time trapped by Wolfsbane, suffering the cruel torture but upon his escape his number one priority is to find his mate, his Allie.  Having the best nose in the pack Brock knows it is only a matter of time before he will scent and find her.

Allie is afraid and does not know whether to run for her life or to stay and face her fate.  She loves Brock but is afraid of the “wolf” part of him.  She stumbled upon a wolf couple mating and the violence of it is what caused her to reject and run from Brock in the first place.  Can she really give herself to Brock fully and accept his wolf? 

Brock has bonded with her and can only be with her.  He can not even be aroused by another female.  There is only Allie for him and if she runs he has no other choice but to follow her or live like a eunuch for the rest of his days.  He has not had a chance to explain the coupling Allie witnessed or show her how it could be different for the two of them.  Will love be the final outcome for the lovers?  Will their luck hold or will Wolfsbane find them?

 

WOLFBITTEN is an excellent story. Full of curves and roadblocks, the final showdown between Brock and his enemies is exciting.  There is a surprise I was not expecting near the end of the story that I cannot divulge but readers will be smiling at the outcome. I was hoping Allie would make the right choice. This story proves that love, no matter the species, is precious and rare.
