Being forced into a political marriage with a vampire whom she’s never even met has made free-spirited Blu Masterson a very unhappy werewolf. Not only are vampires and werewolves sworn enemies, but her uptight new husband makes even Blu’s alpha father look mellow. What bothers Blu the most though, is that despite everything that she hates about Creed Saint-Pierre, she can’t help but find him wickedly sexy. Good thing that neither Blu nor her father’s pack has any intention of honoring this farce of a marriage.

After several hundred years of life as a vampire, Creed Saint-Pierre has become somewhat jaded and cynical. As the very powerful and experienced leader of the Nava tribe of vampires, Creed is the natural choice as groom in a wedding designed to bring the feuding vampires and werewolves together. To his surprise, and chagrin, Creed finds himself drawn to the colorful and outspoken werewolf he has married. He can’t allow his new feelings for Blu to cloud his judgment though, after all, the vampires have their own hidden agenda when it comes to this marriage.

What Blu and Creed didn’t expect to discover was that opposites really do attract. Despite their differences, and their stubborn pride, they both realize that this marriage really could become something specialif they can survive the political machinations of the others long enough to enjoy it.

HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND was the first novel of author Michele Hauf’s that I have read, and I really enjoyed the unique spin that she has put in her paranormal world. The characters are engaging and the dialogue is witty and smart. There was terrific emphasis placed on the sexual tension between Blu and Creed, and I liked that it took them awhile to act upon it.

Funny, sexy and very entertaining, HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND has everything that a great paranormal romance needs, and I highly recommend it.
