Andy is a reporter on the case of the local murders. She is interviewing a man named Kyle Creevey, who was actually convicted on the charges of kidnap and murder, but does not seem to be getting anywhere with him. It is not until she turns to leave that the Creevey tells her that he has an accomplice and his name is Rhys. Andy is eager to hear more, but is not given the chance when two agents step in to speak to Creevey. Andy soon finds herself meeting creatures she did not know even existed, and her delving into matters that do not concern her soon lands her into deep trouble. When Agent Doyle comes to the rescue, who is she to deny his aid?!
Book number six in the SHADOW KEEPERS series has arrived. WHEN TEMPTATION BURNS is an incredibly fascinating novel. I believe it is the best installment in the SHADOW KEEPERS series to date. J.K. Beck writes with ease and sets a wonderful setting for this fast-paced read. I fell in love with both of the main characters, Andy and Doyle. They both have secrets in their pasts that they are struggling to move on from and that really adds to their appeal. The fiery romance between Andy and Doyle only makes the story that much better. I can only hope that WHEN TEMPTATION BURNS will not be the last book in the SHADOW KEEPERS series.
