Twice Haunted

Haley Forkus was brutally murdered by the Scarlett A Killer two years ago and has been spending her time in limbo ever since. She didn’t exactly lead the sparkling life she led her family to believe or always make the best of decisions during her life on earth. Now in her ethereal state, with the assistance of her angelic guide Max, she has been trying to learn from her mistakes and make amends for her ways. After successfully passing a series of tests that include helping her sister find love with her soulmate, Haley is given a rare opportunity. She has the chance to go back to earth and claim her own soulmate, as well as bring her murderer to justice. She is thrust into the body of the latest victim with a strict set of rules to follow.

Crispin T. St. Giles, ex-military man turned journalist, has been following the murders of the Scarlett A Killer since the beginning. Now there is a proclaimed copycat on the loose, though Crispin is not so sure the real one was truly apprehended. There has never been an eyewitness, until in a turn of events, the killer’s latest victim survives the attack. When Crispin goes in to interview full-figured model Haley Aims, he is struck with an overpowering urge to protect and possess her. He takes her in at her request after a second attempt is made on her life.  Although Crispin thinks she is suffering from post traumatic stress, he sympathizes with the fear Haley’s going through during such an ordeal. The beautiful brunette should be off-limits given the circumstances, but she seems to be just as affected by him.

While staying under his roof, Haley soon makes Crispin forget his ethics of not becoming involved and a heated relationship forms between the two. She’s on the right track to claiming her other half, but things are tricky for her. Haley isn’t allowed to tell Crispin that she’s really Haley Forkus reincarnated or that she knows who the killer really is.  With the killer’s continued attempts, Crispin soon starts to think there is more to Haley’s reactions than paranoia. He isn’t about to give up the wonderful woman he’s found, but he knows she is keeping something from him.  Haley is torn between keeping her secrets to be with Crispin and revealing all to keep him safe, even if it means her earthly departure once again.
