Tryst Shifters: Breathless

Josh Swan is about to lose his life’s work to his ex-wife Abigail. He has worked hard to build his hot air balloon business. It is his life and to have to give it up is very painful. To make matters worse he knows that his ex-wife couldn’t care less about flying balloons she only wants it to hurt Josh by destroying his livelihood.

Today is the last day he will be able to fly his beloved balloon, shaped like a black swan, over the Napa Valley. He is not expecting any customers. While Josh is preparing for his final flight he is surprised to see a familiar face standing next to his balloon.

Michael O’Shaunnesy is the spokes model for a Las Vegas resort called Hedonism.  Josh is pleased to note Mr. O’Shaunnesy is even better looking in person than he is on television. However, he is shocked when Michael steals his balloon at gunpoint and leaves Josh at the mercy of two other men with guns.

BREATHLESS by Ericka Scott is part of the TRYST SHIFTERS series at Cobblestone Press. From the beginning, I sympathized with both Josh’s and Mike’s respective problems. The type of animal that Josh can shift into is unexpected and unique. I have never read a story with this type of shifter before. This story is very enjoyable; the ending in particular is very sweet. BREATHLESS is a fun and sexy read.
