On a steamy Caribbean island, two families share a secret curse. Two brothers are determined to end the pain that has plagued their family, but will they be able to find the key in time?

Sheridan West is one of the best photographers in the US. She is wealthy, successful…and scared. She has a secret that no one knows, one that might make her responsible for a string of gruesome deaths in her area. When a job offer comes from a handsome stranger, she accepts it. A change of scene might be just what the doctor ordered.

Marc Des Marets is a man on a mission. He needs to hire a photographer for his brother Simon’s wedding, and he knows just the person. Sheridan West, one of the best in the business, and unbeknownst to her, the key to unlocking the curse that has plagued both their families for hundreds of years.

Simon Des Marets is a man plagued by duty. It is his duty to marry Cecily-a woman he cares nothing for. It is his duty to protect his family, and doing that means staying far away from Sheridan, who he could care far too much about.

Sheridan and Marc hit it off almost instantly, and a close relationship quickly forms. When she travels to the island to photograph the wedding, Sheridan feels as if she is coming home. There is such a sense of peace and rightness there, but also a feeling of sadness and pain. She also feels an instant attraction to Marc’s brother, Simon-the groom. When Marc tells Sheridan about the curse that unites their two families, and how they can break it, will she have the strength to do what needs to be done?

This story was excellent! Ms. Pierce does a very good job setting the scene for the reader, making one feel as if they were there in the story. She develops her characters very well, and you can almost see Simon’s vapid fiancée as one of the Hollywood starlets that grace our tabloids. The secondary characters were engaging, particularly Marie, who added a great deal to the story. This book was very easy to read, and moved very quickly. The identity of the villain was a surprise, I never would have picked that person to be the bad guy! All in all, this was an excellent read, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good steamy romance, two sexy brothers, and sheet-scorching nookie.
