Rhea has been exiled to earth and fears she will never see her home world again.   She is making the best of a bad situation on Earth, but longs for home.   Now year's later Jax shows up on her doorstep to bring her back home.   She can't believe that they sent the one person she can't resist and the love of her life.   Will Rhea be able to help her people and get back the man she thought she lost so long ago?

Jax has been sent to retrieve Rhea and bring her home.   Their world is in major trouble and she is needed to help defend it and keep their people safe.   Jax and Rhea did not part on the best of terms and when he is sent to get her he knows that he will have a hard time being with her.   His feelings for her have not changed and this gives him the perfect opportunity to figure out if he and Rhea have a future together.

SWORD AND CROWN is part of the TORRID TAROT series and this story is a futuristic wonder.   Rhea is made to be the bad guy by her people and is sent away from her home.   You really feel the pain that Rhea feels at being torn away from the only home she's ever known and the confusion of being in a new place with new people.   Jax is the leading man in this tale and is sent to bring Rhea home.   The longing between Jax and Rhea is apparent from the first interaction and only gets stronger as the story progresses.   Lauren Dane knows how to pen a story that gets the readers revved up and wanting more.
