Annalise Pardue has the sight, a gift to see what will be in the future.  Tonight she is shown a vision of a man in mourning so full of despair he is insane with his grief.  The voice that comes with her visions has told her that only she has the power to bring him away from the depths of his disparity.  Will she reach him in time?

Medardo de Vale is known as the " Tarot Prince.”  He mourns his lost love deeply.  So deep he has fallen into a pit of despair.  He only sees the past, for some reason the future is invisible to him.  He reads the cards to see the possible fate of his patrons.

Annalise knew not how she would help the man in her vision, she knew only that she must do so.  Medardo de Vale is the man she seeks according to Aunt Sadie as they discuss the dream she had.  Her aunt tells her she must stay away from him as it is rumored that de Vale is evil.  Would Annalise listen to her aunt’s fears or would she go forth and try to see this man to discover a way to help him?

THE TAROT PRINCE is an intriguing mystery to unveil.  I enjoyed the unfolding drama as I got to know Annalise and Medardo.  It is the mystery that stirs one into greedily turning the pages as one hopes to unveil the plot. Ms. Ashe is a master of her craft as she certainly got me to enjoy reading her book.
