Jesse is a former demon, a Succubus to be exact. She gave up immortality to be with the only man she's ever truly loved, Paul. However, the entities of Hell still want her for their games. Paul is a cop, one of those men that doesn't believe in what he cannot see. He loves Jesse more than life itself. However, when Jesse tries to tell him who she really is, or really was before turning mortal, taking a break seems the best idea to him. He can't understand how Jesse could truly believe she was once a Succubus. Paul will become a believer very soon, when Queen Lilith decides to use him as a pawn to control Jesse. Will Paul freak and run from Jesse forever or will he stick to his woman?

THE ROAD TO HELL is a terrific romp through Heaven and Hell and life on Earth. From angels to demons, this is a must read for anyone looking for both humor and darker paranormal elements. This is definitely love with a bite. Ms. Kessler always does an amazing job making all of her characters completely believable and downright lovable. Even the cruelest characters stay with you long after you finish reading. I always feel so terrible for Jesse. In HELL'S BELLS, she decided to give up her life as a Succubus for love and now Paul is caught in the middle of her two lives. I didn't blame Paul for treating Jesse like she was crazy. I mean the woman he loves tells him that she's a minion from Hell and he's just supposed to accept the story and move on. I laughed really hard at this point. However, Paul is going to get a strong dose of reality and readers will enjoy the drama and suspense of wondering how the story will end for all parties. Each book in the Hell on Earth series just gets better and better and I cannot wait to read the next installment next year.
