Young Thom McGarrety had nearly drowned when a creature with fins had dragged him to shore. When he’d swung around and looked at the creature, he thought he saw at a young girl. Brylyn continues to check on Thom McGarrety after pulling him from tangled seaweed. 

In her natural womanly form, curious Brylyn joins visitors to the McGarrety castle. A wedding is about to take place between Thom’s older brother, Liel, and Anna McShane from another domain.  Soon Thom is fascinated by a young woman with reddish golden hair who cares for his sickly father, the king. Brylyn notices that many McShanes carry weapons.  Taking the form of a cat, she listens in. Conversations confirm her suspicions.  She warns Thom, who wonders how she knows. His kind hunts and kills her shape-shifting Hawk Clan, but if she doesn’t share her secret, will Thom be killed?

Author Janet Quinn writes a sweet romance with riveting and often humorous action in THE ENCHANTED HAWK.  I was entertained by Brylyn’s entanglements when she suddenly shows up as a woman and people wonder about the whereabouts of the cat. Thom is protective and lovable. Just when he starts to believe Brylyn, suspicion points her way.  THE ENCHANTED HAWK chases a legend and will capture your heart.
