As the newly hired marketing manager for K & E Ergonomics Bianca Conti is successfully increasing the company’s exposure and winning impressive projects.  Her next goal is to get in a bid for Shield Communications’ new location.  It would be a huge rush to land such a large project.  The only trouble is she hasn’t been able to get a hold of the company’s general director, Devon Slane.

Devon’s assistant has been curt and so far he hasn’t returned any of her messages.  It’s a bit disappointing but Bianca isn’t going to give up.  If anything the lack of interest on Devon’s end presents a challenge … and Bianca loves a good challenge.

Bianca gets a break when her boss, Kate Randall’s fiancé Tanton Manning mentions that he knows Devon personally.  Tanton volunteers to put in a good word for her and secure a meeting.  Kate thinks the idea is great but Bianca doesn’t like the idea of using personal connections though she doesn’t see any other way to get a hold of the man so she accepts Tanton’s offer.  The next day Bianca receives an email – the meeting has been set up for Thursday, just two days away.

Bianca decides to make a trip to SoHo to check out the Shields Communication building but an accidental encounter on the street with a man who bumps into her leaves her covered in coffee and more than a little peeved.  Two days later she discovers that her sidewalk encounter was with none other than the dynamic elusive Devon Slane.

The meeting between Devon and Bianca is heated right from the start.  She immediately recognized him and it quickly becomes apparent that he hasn’t forgotten the street encounter either.  While Bianca tries to remain professional in her dealings with Devon, he has other ideas.  Sure K & E would provide exactly the sort of service his company needs, but he’s far more interested in Bianca herself and has no qualms about pursuing her despite her decided lack of interest in him.

DRAKHOM TABOO II is the sequel to DRAKHOM TABOO and these stories really should be read in order to fully appreciate these relationships.  Devon and Bianca seem like polar opposites but there’s an undeniable sexual tension between them that captivates the reader.  Celia Jade infuses humor, heat, career driven characters, and plenty of tension into this storyline so that you want to read each and every word and hope for more DRAKHOM stories in the future.
