A pair of seemingly star-crossed lovers, a interesting back story, and an entertaining cast of secondary characters round out a story that is sweet, romantic, poignant, and scorching hot. The interactions between the other gargoyles and the vampires, and the secondary love story with Gabrielle’s sister all help to add scope to an already excellent story.
Wow. GUARDIAN'S REALM: THE COMBAT was fantastic! Davin’s character just made me melt! He was so giving, so self-sacrificing, that it almost made me cry. He was willing to do anything for Gabrielle, even give her up if it meant her happiness. Gabrielle’s character was a good match for him, because she would do whatever she needed to, just to protect him. This story was fast paced, and really pulled me in. I was almost sad to see the last page, but the ending was wonderful! I highly recommend THE COMBAT to anyone, especially if you enjoy a good paranormal read.
