THE BETRAYAL takes place in a time where magic is as common as changing your socks.  This isn’t your typical book about elves and their society, but it gives us a unique look at this ancient tribe.  The Aelven are noble people and you see their exact opposite in the Alben.  You won’t be able to stop turning the pages until this story is done and you find out the fate of Shalar, the Alben, the Aelven and out fated lovers.  Fascinating characters combine with a spectacular plot that will have you reading late into the night.  I really enjoyed this magical tale of the Aelven people and their fight against the Alben.  This is the first book by Pati Nagle that I have read and I can honestly say that I will be on the lookout for more of her work in the future.
