For Christy that pain runs deep, yet even as she faces the obstacles of her new existence she stands her ground. Fearful and hesitant she does what she must to survive. At times she is brave yet vulnerable, strong yet weak, and I for one could not help but cheer her on. Of course she did have a fabulous support system and Sebastian's love, as she experienced all the changes in her life, but she still faced them head on.
Sebastian is surprisingly patient and caring for one who is clearly all Alpha male. His willingness to do what he must to ensure her strength is commendable and is apparently difficult for him at the same time. Christy had to feed for the first time and while Sebastian would have been a willing donor he enlists the help of a powerful werecougar named Matt Redstone, his shifting skill and strength will only enhance Christy and make her all the more powerful.
Ms. D'Arc once again takes a taboo and makes it believable. SWEETER THAN WINE is emotionally deep and had me openly weeping at points. Christy's suffering is tremendous and her bravery astounding. The love built between her and Sebastian is strong and unique bonding them for eternity, making SWEETER THAN WINE a must have for any paranormal fan.
