Sandra ignored her brother’s warnings about the impending snowstorm and that’s exactly why she’s in her current situation.  The only shelter she could find is an abandoned cabin so rickety that snow is blowing through the chinks in the walls.  She’s afraid that if she goes to sleep hypothermia will set in and she’ll never wake up.

Just when her situation seems hopeless she hears a sound outside the cabin door.  Instead of the rescue party she’d been hoping for there’s a single man.  Just looking at him is enough to warm her insides but when he smiles she notices that there are fangs and that’s quite worrisome.

Her would be savior tells her that he can save them both if he feeds from her.  Sandra finds the thought as disturbing as she does arousing.  Her vampire also got lost in the snowstorm – he had been able to hear the pounding of a heart and knew that her blood could save him.  If there’s to be any hope for either of them she’ll have to willingly surrender to him.  Sandra opts to give in to the vampires desires.  After all, she has some of her own and the combination of lust, fear, and raw sensuality is enough to make anybody spontaneously combust and he’s agreed to satisfy her desires as well as his own.  Can there ever be more between these two then simply one chance encounter in a derelict cabin?

Oh my, I have to tell you this story really captivated me from beginning to end and I still want to know more about what happens between Sandra and her vampire.  Silvia Violet packs a sense of wonder into this tale that had me devouring the pages and undeniably turned on.  There’s something so wickedly delightful and yet very sweet about the whole encounter that it felt real and the characters had me smiling at their heartfelt reactions to each other.  SAVED BY A VAMPIRE is one of the stories that make up the Changeling Press SNOWBOUND series.
