Ariel Swanson has become something of a phenomenon amongst her people. Of course what could she expect when she decided to write a book about vampires after they’d made humans live in fear of them? What the rest of the world doesn’t know is that writing the book is a kind of therapy for Ariel, her way of getting over her fear of vampires. So when the book does exactly the opposite; getting her kidnapped and landing her in the arms of a vampire Ariel can hardly breathe. The problem is, it may not be fear affecting her breathing.
Jachin Black can’t believe that a human woman could be part of the prophecy he’s clung to for so many years. But with her book reciting the prophecy word for word he has little choice but to believe it. After having been banished from his vampire clan the Saguinas, Ariel might be just what he needs to be invited back. If only she didn’t feel so good in his arms it might be easy enough. The closer he gets to the Saguinas, the more he finds himself needing Ariel and wanting her to need him.
Vampires are supposed to be extinct. Or so Ariel keeps trying to tell herself after being kidnapped by a man who either moves like a superhero or a vampire. Though she knows every instinct in her body should be telling her to run from him, there is something about him that keeps her from leaving. In fact, it’s the same something that has her wanting to get closer to him in every way.
SCIONS: RESURRECTION is a must read! Not only does it set itself apart from other paranormal romances with fresh ideas and a new spin on what it is to be a vampire, it’s the most fun I’ve had with a novel in a long time. While there’s more than enough high packed action to get your heart racing, what will no doubt keep it racing is the smoldering sexual tension between these characters. Patrice Michelle creates chemistry that keeps readers on the edge of their seat right along with her characters.
