It’s been one year since Kiera Forkus’s sister Haley was brutally murdered by the Scarlett A Killer and the death has really taken a toll on her. Lately, the only thing she has to look forward to in her life is the vivid fantasies she’s been having about Jaden Hawkins, a man who she’s always harbored feelings for. If Jaden doesn’t marry within six months he and his special needs brother will be disinherited. Not knowing what to do, he turns to Kiera who understands his feelings. 

When Jaden ends up at Kiera’s door he doesn’t expect to be greeted by the new sexy version of his friend. Nor is he prepared for her offer to marry him and least of all, the hot night they share. Now Kiera has to give it her all to help Jaden see how much they were meant to be together. Even with her sister’s help from above, it may not be enough. Others aren’t too happy about the new match and will do anything to stop the love union from taking place.

Pierce creates a unique way for two would-be soul mates to come together who would otherwise miss their chance at finding true love. The connection between Kiera and Jaden is almost instantaneous and their encounters hot. A lot of their bonding comes from the trust they show each other through intimacy and emotional release. The aspect of Haley, as the spiritual guide of aiding the two lovers in fulfilling their destiny and the way she makes her presence known, was an added enjoyment as well.  This saucy romance with a bit of mystery thrown in is the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
