Leila links with Vlad only to discover that he is more than aware of her trying to pinpoint his location. The fun does not stop there either because it soon becomes clear that Vlad is a mind-reader as well. Seeing Vlad is her only means of escape, she makes the decision to put her trust in him. Imagine Leila's shock when Vlad literally blasts his way into the room her kidnappers are holding her in, saves her and then turns around and whisks her off to his own residence as little more than a hostage there.
Leila is in a great amount of danger with a mysterious new enemy out to get her. It only complicates matters the more she becomes involved with Vlad. She knows that eventually he is going to break her heart, but she just cannot seem to resist temptation. She finally has a chance at happiness, but with all the threats at her and Vlad's lives, how is she supposed to make their struggling new relationship work?!
Praise for Jeaniene Frost's amazing new NIGHT PRINCE series. Not only does this book get the full five blue ribbons, but I also give it the seldom used recommended read award. The first book, ONCE BURNED, is one of the most riveting books that I have read this year. I am not in the least surprised by how awesome ONCE BURNED turned out to be, considering that Ms. Frost showed her skills with the release of her NIGHT HUNTRESS series. ONCE BURNED is incredibly tense. It really sank its fangs into me, and did not let go. I cannot wait to see what the next book in the NIGHT PRINCE series brings forth.
