When he arrives at Oleander House, the setting for his first job as part of the Bay City Paranormal Investigation Team (BCPI), Sam Raintree is excited. He knows of the house’s past - the unexplainable killings that leave a sole survivor in a catatonic state, and the fact that the killings have happened repeatedly since 1890.  He along with his new colleagues plan to find out why.

He quickly feels accepted by his team and finds himself deeply attracted to his married, out-of-bounds boss Dr. Broussard a.k.a Bo. As Sam’s attraction to Bo gets stronger, the strange goings on at Oleander House intensifies.

Sam, along with two of his new colleagues, have been having strange dreams, too similar to be ruled a coincidence. The specialized equipment has also captured images that can't be explained even by BCPI.   The strange presence and the feeling of malice it exudes seems to be gaining strength, too. Can Sam and the team find out what’s behind the killings? Or will they be Oleander House’s next victims?

I absolutely loved OLEANDER HOUSE. Ally Blue quickly has the reader hooked and keeps them that way throughout this story. She effortlessly combines a deep, complicated love story with a nail-biting paranormal tale.

The pace is steady and, yet, Ally Blue manages to give detailed accounts of various paranormal phenomenons that open the reader’s mind to things they didn’t think possible.

This would be an excellent book for a first time paranormal reader as it will make them a fan of the genre and greedy for more. I can assure Ms Blue that she has a new fan in me, and I dare anyone to read this and not like it! Care to accept my challenge?
