Jane Jameson has not had it easy since she was turned into a vampire but it seems her life finally may be settling down. Her boyfriend, Gabriel, has proposed and they are preparing for a wedding. It should be the happiest time in Jane’s life. This all changes when a car hits Jamie Lanier out delivering milk and Jane is forced to turn him. Suddenly, Jane is a sire and it is a responsibility she is not at all prepared for. How do these things keep happening to Jane? She just wants to settle down, but instead she has a hormonal new teenage vampire in her home, her Grandma Ruthie died and is now haunting Jane’s house, and someone is out to get Jane again. Planning a wedding becomes the easiest thing on Jane’s plate.

NICE GIRLS DON’T BITE THEIR NEIGHBORS is the fourth Jane Jameson book. I have not read any of the other Jane Jameson titles before so I know I was missing some character back story but in all honesty, that did not hinder my enjoyment of the book. Jane is a lively and fun protagonist, plus she has some great one-liners that make this book shine through all the mayhem and ghosts Jane is living with. This is a book that truly depends on its cast of characters and let me just say, the folks in Half-Moon Hollow are hilarious, endearing and definitely liven up Jane’s life. I particularly enjoyed the dynamic between Jane, her new vampire, Jamie, and Jane’s fiancé, Gabriel. As they worked out living arrangements and Jamie came to grips with being a vampire, these three grew closer which resulted in hijinks, but also some great character development.
Fans of the series will definitely enjoy NICE GIRLS DON’T BITE THEIR NEIGHBORS! Molly Harper’s writing makes Jane a truly unforgettable character.
