Mark has a major secret he is keeping and he is afraid of telling Sarah what he really is, because if she finds out, he could lose her. But the first step to cementing their relationship is having her meet his strange family. Sarah doesn’t know what to expect when she goes to the family gathering and everyone is wearing masks because it is Mardi Gras. Only Mark’s grandmother puts her at ease. Mark seems on edge, even around his brother Luke. And when Mark introduces her to Tarris, an extremely beautiful man who is mute, she doesn’t know what to think. Sarah suddenly feels very sleepy and falls asleep where she has a sexual dream with both Mark and Tarris. When she awakens, Sarah is very frightened and becomes more so when it seems Mark must fight in order for him to have Sarah in his life. Sarah will also find out what Mark has been hiding and must decide if she will be able to accept him and his family which is very important to him.

MATING STONE is a very short story with a lot of action and some serious and sensual love making. Elyssa Edwards doesn’t hold anything back and what you have is an interesting take on a shape shifting family and the characters that are a part of it. If I were Sarah I would have felt I was like Alice in Wonderland. Mark is the very sexy yet humble man who adores Sarah and is willing to sacrifice everything he has and known because of his love for her. The passion and love between these two have take up these short pages and the ultimate scene is the dream where Sarah is pleasured by both Mark and Tarris, who is some other being not of this world.

Intense, sexy and action packed, MATING STONE kept my interest and should do the same for most readers.
