For over five thousand years, werebear Marko and his fellow animal shifter warriors have been imprisoned in their animal form on a traveling carnival carousel. The curse was set by their beloved Lady of the Beast in order to keep them from the evil clutches of Hades. Now Hades has managed to find a new way to force the warriors to join his malicious, immortal army - a way that involves each warrior’s unknown mates. When Marko met Kellsie, he immediately knew she was his true mate and that nothing could keep them apart. Together, Kellsie and Marko have twenty-four hours to win the battle against Hades’ soldiers or they will forever serve under Hades’ criminal authority.
Wow! MARK OF THE BEAR is just as good as its predecessor, NIGHT OF THE TIGER. I know that this is only book two in N.J. Walter’s Hades Carnival series. However, I am totally captivated by the thrillingly, chilling storyline carried across each installment. I was hooked from start to finish. I eagerly raced through the pages to see how the plot would unfold. Ms. Walters’ book does not disappoint! The interaction between Kellsie and Marc is phenomenal. They complement each other very well. I really admire Kellsie’s character because she is no weakling. She is a thinker, always planning and is not afraid to fight for what she believes in. She is hell on wheels and always keeps Marko on his toes. Their sexual encounters are mega hot and wickedly intense. Whew! MARK OF THE BEAR is one tale not to be missed!
