As a demonic prince of a lower-level of Hell, Orbus has spent centuries serving the overlord Azazel and seeing to his duties. He is accustomed to life in the underworld, but likes to stay on top of things in the human realm. Owning the club Demonic Persuasion allows him to do just that. Drawn to a feisty woman who shows up has him doing something he’s never done before, which is taking part in a performance on stage. When he finds out the woman is the one promised to him at birth, he is beside himself. Orbus is determined to claim his mate – body and heart. The physical connection between them is staggering, but getting her trust him is slow going. Orbus must help his damaged princess to overcome her past and learn to accept her heritage if they are to have a lasting relationship.
Mahalia Levey’s first book, DEMONIC PERSUASION, in her new PROPHESIES IMPLIED series, is one red-hot read. The intensity of her characters’ personalities as well as their physical encounters leap from the pages. Ms. Levey’s ability to show a forming bond and not just physical chemistry, along with her hero who lets a soft side emerge from time to time, adds an element of sweetness to the storyline. Her world building is also well done. Her depictions of the underworld and darker club scenes are quite vivid. If you have a soft spot for demons, this should be on your to read list.
