Maizie Hood is barely making ends meet. Her beloved grandmother is in a nursing home and on most days is barely lucid. Maizie has decisions to make and the hardest so far has been deciding to sell her grandmother’s home. When she is attacked by a wolf, Maizie is surprised and somewhat unsure as to why Gray is being so protective. Until she finds out his ‘real’ reason for being with her. Will their attraction for each other be enough, or will the truth about Gray be too much for Maizie to handle?
I found LITTLE RED AND THE WOLF to be an entertaining by play of the fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. Gray definitely met the criteria for big and bad. But he was gentle and loyal as well which made my heart beat just a tiny bit faster. Maizie was likeable and sexy in her own way – Gray’s attraction to her causes her more than one sleepless night, but there was no denying that sparks ignited when they were near each other.
LITTLE RED AND THE WOLF by Alison Paige is an enjoyable and well written adult ‘almost’ fairytale that I had fun reading. The love scenes were explicit and intense, the storyline flowed, and the characters fell in love. Sounds like a winner in my book!
