Lena isn't quite sure to make of the three sexy men who walk into her office—especially Luke, the attractive black-haired angel with the soulful eyes. She's a confident, self-possessed movie studio executive and she's used to being in control and enjoying it. When she invites him to dinner, she thinks she’ll be learning more about this intriguing possible client, and that she just might get lucky. After a sexually explosive night, confusion hits when she realizes just how much enjoys it when Luke sexually dominates her as well as when he gently coddles her. These are both things she's not used to, but that she is growing to love about Luke. He's the sexually adventurous man she's always wanted...only he's not a man, he's a seven-foot-tall monster!

Luke and his fellow monsters have approached Lena's company in order to set the record straight: Monsters are not bloodthirsty creatures at all, they are just different from humans and have been portrayed by the media as black-hearted fiends. Luke's greatest hope is that by making a movie that shows the true nature of the monster race—the reality that they are just different, not evil—that the inevitable convergence of the humans and monsters will go over that much easier. If not, it could mean years of strife and bloodshed for both communities. As Luke and Lena get to know one another, Luke certainly isn't prepared for the fact that human women not only enjoy sex, but that Lena has some very interesting sexual foibles...

LIGHTS, CAMERA...MONSTERS is a well-written and creative story about finding love where you least expect it. I loved the author's hip, urban voice and found the whole idea behind this story to be wonderfully unique and well executed. It is a roller-coaster ride of sensuality, emotion and acceptance.  Lena is a great character who embodies the modern woman: she's sexy, charming, assertive and has a great attitude. I love Luke's character for his dominance in the bedroom, as well as how attuned he is to Lena's feelings. I love the fact that the author wrote in several multi-character conversation scenes, showing her deft skill with dialogue. The pacing is quick-fire, the dialogue is witty and engrossing and the love scenes were scorchingly sexy. I found the sensual writing very provocative, well written and exciting. Ms. Dubois has a great gift for really prolonging the ecstasy of her scenes, and the love scenes between Luke and Lena will leave readers wrung out and panting for more. So if you like sensitive heroes, confident heroines and uber-hot sex, be sure to pick up LIGHTS, CAMERA...MONSTERS right away.
