Sienna Lauren is a powerful cardinal X Psy. Her abilities have always been unstable but her powers are continuing to degrade out of her control no matter how much her Uncle Judd tries to teach her mastery over her Psy genes. Nothing helps and she is a ticking time bomb of pain for the SnowDancer wolf pack if she cannot figure out how to save herself. But only one person can get through to her and he refuses to take that step in their relationship.

Alpha of the SnowDancer pack, Hawke is a true lone wolf. His mate was killed when they were children and he has always known he would spend his life without the ultimate bond of love and support. But Sienna makes him question even that. Though only nineteen, she is quickly becoming everything to him, much as he tries to hide it. She is mature beyond her years and is becoming a pack member others rely on and can count on for support. She is the ally he needs, the woman he needs, if only he would let himself give into his feelings. Hawke will have to decide, and quick, because trouble is coming to SnowDancer territory and its only mission is to cause destruction and death.

If you are anything like me, you too have been breathlessly anticipating KISS OF SNOW from the very moment Hawke stepped onto the pages of the very first Psy/Changeling book. Hawke and Sienna truly have their moment in the sun in this powerful and battle torn novel. Nothing is easy. Not their feelings, not the danger encroaching on SnowDancer territory and not the struggle Sienna is putting up against her X abilities. Emotions converge and roll off the pages of this story in waves of tension that mimic the growing emotions between Hawke and Sienna. Hawke and Sienna have been dancing around each other for the entirety of this series and finally, the hopes and dreams they both shared in the darkest part of their minds come to fruition, but it is not easy and it is not smooth, which only makes the story that much more powerful.

Another aspect of this story I love is how easily Nalini Singh weaves multiple storylines without losing focus of Hawke and Sienna’s romance. The evil of the Psy council is present in this story. Readers get to visit with beloved characters from past stories. There is a secondary romance that is as spellbinding as the main romance. Yet, all these storylines get tied together with amazing ease.

KISS OF SNOW is an insider’s look into the workings of the SnowDancer pack and into the heart of its leader, Hawke. The battle of love and lust that Hawke and Sienna have been dancing around is finally ready to explode and boy, oh boy, the results are a conflagration of emotions you will want to embrace. It is hard to imagine what else Nalini Singh has up her sleeve for this series because the books keep getting better and better. KISS OF SNOW is a true treasure in this already amazing series.
