Taylor Yates has based her entire academic career on proving the existence of fifth-century British poet, Inigo Domhnall. To her dismay, Taylor finds nothing to substantiate her thesis. There are no guarantees that kissing Veris will trigger another time traveling flashback, but for Taylor, he's definitely hot enough to want to try. And forget it, when looking at Brody and Veris together as a package - just about anything is worth trying at least once.
The mere concept behind KISS ACROSS TIME is thoroughly intriguing and inventive – time-traveling vampires with the inexplicable ability to spirit a lone human female into episodes from their combined thousand year history. Paranormal erotic romance doesn't get any more creative than that. Tack on extremely satisfying, erotic love scenes, and the TIME CROSSED LOVE series proves to be incomparable reads.
Taylor is an academic, hoping to recover some semblance of her professional dignity by uncovering the connection between her life's work and the mysterious Brody Gallagher. She has no idea she's about to uncover a bond more profound, more intimate than she's ever imagined. And what's even more amazing is how she intuitively listens to her gut, allowing herself to explore the strange affinity she seems to have with both Brody and Veris.
As vampires, Brody and Veris exhibit the kind of cool aloofness that one could only gain from living a millennium. So it's really lovely to see how Taylor's mere presence stirs such longing and passion within them. What's equally endearing is the relationship between Brody and Veris. Their familiarity with one another speaks volumes on how they've unconditionally accepted one another. That their union has lasted so long is a real testament to how much they love each other.
As a trifecta, Taylor, Veris, and Brody's chemistry is explosive to the nth degree and will undoubtedly satiate the most discerning lovers of paranormal erotica. If there are any complaints about KISS ACROSS TIME, it's that it's too short. But luckily, the sequel, KISS ACROSS SWORDS is already available, and just as gifted as its predecessor in its winning combination of historical, paranormal, and erotic romance.
