Angel has to admit that she’s stunned by the raw beauty of her tattoo and oddly attached to it.  She’s even a bit giddy since it gives her a sensation that something exciting is going to happen.  In any case, she’s on her way to spend Christmas with her family in the mountains so anything life altering is going to have to wait until after the holidays.  Her plans are derailed however when a snowstorm results in her getting lost and she winds up at an extremely remote house – and its owner is none too happy to see her.

 

Gannon doesn’t want company yet he can’t send Angel back out in a blinding snowstorm either.  He does his best to be hospitable until she removes her jacket and he notices the tattoo on her arm.  He’s convinced that she’s been sent by one of his former band mates as some sort of payback for his decision not to write any more songs for G Balls.  He’s lived in self imposed isolation for years and is ready to call it quits permanently because he’s afraid he’ll hurt someone otherwise.  What he doesn’t expect is the intense passion that burns between him and Angel.  Can a man who, for all intents and purposes, turned his back on humans resist a woman bearing a werewolf tattoo?

 

HIS GUARDIAN ANGEL by Kate Hill is a fast paced, fun story full of mystical wonder.  Angel’s lack of celebrity stroking seems to come as a surprise to Gannon but he’s been out of the limelight for so long it’s something he obviously appreciates.  Along with the tattoo Angel seems to gain a sense of self confidence which you get the impression was lacking before and it makes her interaction with Gannon intensely hot.  Amongst the heated words and sparks flying are some passionate sex scenes and some surprising scenes where you aren’t sure what to expect next.  HIS GUARDIAN ANGEL is part of Changeling Press’s HOLIDAY HOWLZ line but in reality it’s a great read any time of year.
