Mark and Travis are in college, lovers belonging to a unique magical family known as the Draynars. Mark, being the bigger of the two, takes it upon himself to teach Travis how to use their magical powers to drain others of such things as knowledge and strength.

So when jock Ryan Gibson messes with Travis, Mark seeks nothing but revenge from the man, planning and plotting to take from him whatever he wishes. After draining Ryan of strength and knowledge, Travis sees Mark’s rampage is a bit over the top, and wonders if he can stop him before it’s too late.

A short, fast read, Rowan McBride tells a unique story about an interesting paranormal world. The characters are well developed and the plot interesting, keeping the reader engaged from beginning to end. As a paranormal romance fan, I’d never read anything about mystical powers taking knowledge and strength away from mortals and found it pretty cool. The story is written in Travis’ perspective, visualizing to the reader his world as he sees it. A great read for a fan of the paranormal genre.
