Armen Markus is a commanding interrogator in the foulest and most horrendous prison anyone could be sent.  All is not what it seems with Armen – he is actually a double agent working for the resistance in the hopes of ousting a dishonest regime.  Giving your trust to the wrong person can be the difference between life and death.  When he sees the prisoner log and notices a special name on it, Armen is determined to find out why the man he left behind long ago has become a traitor.

Ravi Jai understands that his arrest is part of the plan.  Although he knows that he must stick with the plan, he can’t help but feel trepidation at the hands of the prison guards.  One in particular – ex-lover Armen Markus.  Ravi is disconcerted to find the man he knew long ago is now the top criminal interrogator for the regime.  Knowing not to trust anyone, Ravi can’t help the feelings he experiences when he sees Armen again.  And it seems Armen feels the same way.

INTIMATE STRANGERS explores the futuristic with a look at a corrupt government and the means to which a resistance movement will go to oust them.  Trust is at the forefront and while Ravi and Armen are previous lovers, they must learn to trust each other again – especially since Armen is part of the regime.  I found the entire plot and premise interesting and the interactions between Armen and Ravi intimate and sensual with a bite of the forbidden.  INTIMATE STRANGERS is a worthy homoerotic love story – one which I will read more than once!
