Baron Silver is an Immortal, one destined to put an end to the evil that roams the earth.  After two years of training and facing all the challenges his current job throws his way, he encounters a vicious vampire who vows to destroy everything he loves.  At first, Baron is not bothered.  He gave up life and love the day he was initiated into the Immortals so the vampire’s threat did not have much affect on him.  However, when he harms Maxine, a woman from his past, he realizes just how wrong his thinking is.

Maxine Deveroux vowed to Jackson Silver on his deathbed that she would bring Baron home.  He is possibly the last person she wants to see, especially after he broke her heart, but she is one that keeps her promises—especially to a dying friend.  However, after her car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, she is convinced her good intentions overshadow her ability.  Turning to a stranger for help, Max soon realizes she has possibly made the biggest mistake—one that could cost her life.

A gripping tale that keeps the reader on the edge of her seat, IMMORTAL KISS is a read not to be missed.  First in the immortal series by J. K. Coi, this novel is action-packed and full of kick-butt heroes.  Baron and Maxine struggle to survive in a unique world of immortal life.  You never know what is in store for these two with the numerous plot twists that take the reader on a thrilling roller coaster ride.  I enjoyed reading IMMORTAL KISS and I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.  Congratulations, Ms. Coi to a job well done!
