Kai Harrison is an attractive man. He has been searching for his sister Rebecca for two years while working with the black jaguars. He was hoping to find something new that would lead him to his sister. He has agreed to try and remove the microchip from Sari but he wants answers about his assistant for the last two years.
Sari’s life and who she truly is has to be guarded, no one could know she is a hybrid. She fears the Hunters that Zimmerman will send after her. Hunters are hybrids like herself who excel at their jobs because of their animal DNA. He has already given her a warning that he is close and will soon get her. During the Facility days he would sit outside her cage and tell her what he would do to her. Kai wants to protect her and love her but he has some secrets of his own that he is reluctant to share. His obsession with the cats hides his search for his sister. His feelings for Sari haven’t gone away they grow stronger daily. Sari wants to give in and allow Kai close but she worries because he cannot protect her against the Hunters. Will this tangled pair share their secrets and be strong together as one? Or will their uncertainty with one another continue to make them weak?
HYBRIDS BOOK ONE: SARI has been a wonderful read. I enjoyed unlocking the mysteries of who the characters are and how much the past affects today is summed up well. I wanted Kai to be strong for Sari and I wanted Sari to learn that strength comes in many forms not just physically. I believe this story successfully shows that. Ms. Middleton has a fine way of painting images with her words. I look forward to other books in this series but can I survive the anticipation is the big question?
